Market Report for Jan 04 2023

The first trading day of the year started on a positive note but ended on a negative one.

Weakness in a few mega-cap stocks kept the market subdued and limited to any upside moves.

Concerns of a weakening economic environment and upcoming earnings may have played a factor but whatever the reason, the start of the year had the same tone as the end of last year.

We should be prepared to short more if the tone does not pick up.
