Market Report for Sep 17 2021

Investing in what is comfortable is rarely profitable. A balanced portfolio should consist of stocks with both levels of volatility.

Market Trend:
S&P 500 = Up
Nasdaq Composite = Up

Market YTD:
S&P 500 +19.1% YTD
Nasdaq Composite +17.8% YTD
Dow Jones Industrial Average +13.5% YTD
Russell 2000 +13.1% YTD

Market Volume:
NYSE Vol: 928 mln (Above)
Nasdaq Vol: 3.6 bln (Below)

New Swing Positions:
None. Prior days EURUSD still running and is at a loss. Move stop to session lows of yesterday when logging off in the evening and overnight the pair has managed to move up a little. This might change when London opens and price may well reverse from overnight momentum.

Comments:
After a good Retail Sales figure, the markets were mixed. The Nasdaq Composite managed to close slightly positive while the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average closed slightly negative.

We have scaled out on our TROX trade and trailing our stoploss.

And we continue to stand aside in equities as the current pullback is quite shallow and the market does need a rest. We are waiting for new opportunities.

Have a good weekend.

Let’s go trade!
